The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.

Our mission

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

What impact can one donation have?

  • For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
  • $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
  • $500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.

Interested in being one of our speakers/presenters??
Would you be willing to join us for a delicious breakfast and give a presentation to our club?  We have a speaker each week at our meeting.  The morning starts with the pledge of allegiance, the 4 way test, announcements, breakfast, "happy dollars" updates from members, and then 30 minutes for our speaker.  If you have a job, topic, or organization that would be a good fit, please click below to email our Club Service Chair person to get on the calendar.
Home Page Stories
Every week at our morning breakfast meetings, we have the privilege of having wonderful speakers sharing a variety of topics.  Here are some we have had this Rotary year!
In 2024 Lake Elmo Rotary Club "planted" it's second Kindness Rock Garden at Stillwater Middle School.  The students, staff, and parents have loved seeing the positive impact this has had on their campus!

In 2023 our Lake Elmo Rotary Club kicked off our Kindness Rock Garden Project.  We worked with Lake Elmo Elementary School - over 700 students and staff to create our very first Kindness Rock Garden outside the school.
We have welcomed 3 new members!  Please join us in congratulating the following Lake Elmo Rotary Club members:

Lake Elmo community members came together in June of 2005 with a desire to create service opportunities, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. On June 30, 2005 Lake Elmo Rotary Club was chartered.

The Lake Elmo Rotary Club is one of about 32,000 clubs in 172 countries and geographic regions. Lake Elmo Rotary Club is one of 68 clubs in Southeast Minnesota and Western Wisconsin with over 3400 members, which comprise Rotary District 5960, one of 526 Districts worldwide.

Founded in 1905 by Paul Harris in Chicago, Illinois, as the world's first volunteer service organization, Rotary quickly expanded around the globe.  The first club met in rotation in member’s offices, thus the name Rotary.  Clubs meet regularly for fellowship to discuss local and global topics. Clubs are non-religious, non-governmental, and open to every race, culture, and creed.

As Rotarians, we are part of a worldwide group of over 1,200,000 members committed to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.
  • High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each Rotarian of his/her occupation as an opportunity to serve society.
  • The application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian to his/her personal, business, and community life.
  • The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional men/women united in the ideal of service.

The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do...

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
  5. Will it be FUN? Our Club added this because we want to have FUN while we serve!
